Cornell University College of Human Ecology Student Exhibition

gview The Mann Library at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY is currently displaying the Barbara L. Kuhlman Scholars' Fiber Arts & Wearable Arts Exhibition, which  runs through October 17th. 
Gallery Hours:
Mon through Thurs 8am to midnight.  Friday 8am to 6pm.  Saturday Noon 6pm.  Sunday 10am to midnight.

Pat Hickman is exhibiting art work in an invitational group show entitled “Designing Women” at the Ann Street Gallery, Newburgh, NY, Sept. 12-Oct. 24. She is part of an invitational exhibition, “Knitted, Knotted, Netted” at the Hunterdon Art Museum, Clinton, NJ, Oct. 11, 2009-Jan. 24, 2010. Other artists in that group exhibition, funded by the Coby Foundation, Ltd., include Karen Ciaramella, Abigail Doan, Kazue Honma, Ed Bing Lee, Norma Minkowitz, Ruth Marshall, Leslie Pontz, Ann Coddington Rast, Hisako Sekijima, Noriko Takamiya, and Carol Westfall.

Pat will teach a workshop, “OPENINGS: Knotted and Knotless Netting” at the Hunterdon on Nov. 15.

She is also participating in “Garnerworld”, Oct. 16-Nov. 15, an exhibition celebrating the history of the Garnerville Arts and Industrial Center, an old calico factory built in 1838, where she has her studio.

“Through the Eyes”, her solo exhibition, will be at the Phoenix Gallery, NY, Nov. 4-28, 2009.

Patricia Spillane, Barbara Vanseloe, Kris G. Moss, Diane Evans and Joanna Monroe Exhibiting in ARTTA show

As part of the Hyde Museum's "A Season of Degas", the Adirondack Regional Textile Artists' Alliance (ARTAA), has just opened a show at Kris and Joanna’s shared studio in the Shirt Factory, 21 Cooper Street in Glens Falls, NY.  All the work in this exhibition is inspired by Degas' "Dancer with Red Stockings", a piece from the Hyde collection.

This show will be up through October 18: Wed - Sat, 10 - 4, and Sun, !2 - 4. More info is available from the Hyde Museum. Participating SDA members are Patricia Spillane, Barbara Vanseloe and Joanna Monroe.

In conjunction with their major quilt exhibition, “Full Spectrum: Quilts & The Textile Arts”, Binghamton University Art Museum presents internationally recognized quilt artist, Marilyn Henrion, giving a trunk show-lecture chronicling over 30 years of her life and work.
