Sandra Sider announces the publication of The Studio Quilt, no. 1, a new monograph series focusing on contemporary quilt art.  The first issue presents Sandra's essay concerning the work of Ludmila Aristova.  (Available on Amazon.com for $11.00.)

Pat Pauly at the Quilt National opening with her piece “Pink Leaf 2”.

Pat Pauly's work "Pink Leaf 2" is now on view in Athens, Ohio in Quilt National 2011. The 17th biennial juried exhibition of contemporary art quilts will be on view at the Dairy Barn Arts Center May 28 through September 5, 2011. Over 1,000 entries were whittled down to the final 86, and Pat is thrilled to be part of this prestigious collection. The exhibit will tour starting in the Fall of 2011.

Sum of the Parts: Art Quilts of Pat Pauly

Pat Pauly will have a solo exhibition at the Nazareth College Arts Center
Gallery in Rochester, New York, June 30, 2011 – August 14, 2011.
There
will be an opening reception  Friday, July 1, 2011 6 – 8 p.m.

Entitled “Sum of the Parts: Art Quilts of Pat Pauly,” the show will
feature Pauly’s latest work in surface design and textile technique. An
award-winning and nationally-known fiber artist, Pat Pauly uses personal
imagery and freeform surface design in her modern take on a traditional
art form. Bold, graphic and non-literal narrative is the subject matter.
Commercial and artist-designed textiles are the medium intricately
assembled to emerge as the finished fiber work.

The exhibition will be free and open to the public during gallery hours
Thursday-Sunday from 1-8 pm. Call for additional hours (585 389 5073)

You're invited to a 2-person exhibit featuring a wide selection of fiber art by Sally Dutko and the photographic, mixed-media prints of Rebecca Godin. Both artists have exhibited extensively in the Northeast.

A "Meet the Artists" event is Saturday, July 2, 1:00-5:00.

Lamoreaux is filled with artwork and is a wonderful winery, a beautiful building, and has a spectacular view of Seneca Lake. It is located on the east shore of Seneca Lake.
